We have been in Piraeus (Πειραιάς) arriving from Santorini. We stayed there for a night. And at the next day we had a short walk around the hotel and the seaport. The city isn’t big and connected with Athens by the green line of the Metro – the station name is “Πειραιάς” (Piraeus). The landmarks of Piraeus is the seaport and the Agia Triada (Αγία Τριάδα) (Holy Trinity) Cathedral. This church was built in 1839 but then totally destroyed in 1944. Then it was founded again in 1956 but inaugurated only in 1962 although its construction is still in progress.
