Golden Gates of Kiev is the historical landmark of the Kiev. This is a reconstructed part of the Kiev ancient fortress. The Golden Gate was an entry to the ancient Kiev of Yaroslav Mudryi (Yaroslav the Wise) time. It is a fortification tower with a large entry (about 7.5m) and the wall of 9.5m height. At the top of this tower you may see a small church (church of Annunciation) to show everyone who wants to enter that this is the Christian city. The first know date when Golden Gates are mentioned is 1037.
