Another interesting place in the center of Athens is the Syntagma metro station (Συντάγματος). This station of the Athenian metro is interesting by its own small archaeological museum. I could even say that this station is the museum.
This is because of the archaeological findings made during the building of this metro station. Scientists found workshops to gild statues (V century BC), ancient cemeteries, Roman terms, ancient aqueduct and Eridanus river bed, etc.
All these findings were conserved and represented for the passengers of the metro. Here you may see some photos I made at Syntagma metro station.
