I’d like to share some works of my grandfather, Vitaliy Shymko, who died 24 years ago but left a good memory with all who knew him. He was a great master of painting, sketching, sculpture and work with stone. Unfortunately, I do not have a lot of his works.. They all were presented to someones.. At the time of Soviet Union he didn’t have a chance to sell his works but he was able to present them to politics and big factories directors. So, my family owns a very few of his paints.. As for me, I’m proud to have 2 of his paintings that are my present from my grandmother who is the keeper of grandfather’s works and memory.
In this post I want to show a portrait of my grandfather and 2 of paintings I own. These paintings were created more than 25 years ago.
This painting by my grandfather is owned by me. It is old and needs repair because it was stored on attic before I got it. It depicts Konka river that is near my home town.
