That was a day before New Year. I had some business in Moscow and went there for a day. The wheather was cold and wet.. Clouds hanged over the city whole day.. That was the usual wheather for my visits to Moscow.
So, I do not like this city too much.. It is always in rush and treat me with bad weather.. But I believe many people do not share my point of view but this is only my view..
Having some business in Moscow I made a walk and got to the Sparrow Hills where the main building of Moscow State University is located. The university was founded in 1755 by Mikhail Lomonosov, whose name is in the university name now.
The main building is a majestic stone building that is well known around the world. I felt the power of it walking around. The only thing that was not friendly was weather. It was raining and cold. I think students of MGU (how it is called in abbreviation) can say more good things :)
The photo I’m sharing here is a pseudo-HDR photo. The one I shot was very dark and I used following technique.
1. I made separate images (5 images) with different exposure (changing it using PhotoShop) with a step of 1EV.
2. Merged the images into a single HDR using Photomatix.
3. Made some post-processing in PhotoShop to get better result.
In this article I’m returning to Moscow. Actually, I do not like this city much but definitely it has a great history and very interesting and beauty places to visit and see.
So, this article is to show the vertical panoramic photo of the Monument of Emperor Alexander II (1855—1881). This monument was presented in 2005. Its location is near the Cathedral of Christ the Saviour. The monument was made of bronze.
