This post is about the coin of 5 gryvna 2011, Ukraine.
The coin is from the set of coins issued for Euro2012 that was carried out in Ukraine and Poland. This 5 gryvna coin depicts Kharkiv, the one of the cities where the football matches of the championship were played.
This post is about the silver coin of 50 piso of Republic of the Philipines, 1975. This coin depict Ferdinand Marcos, the former president of the Philippines.
Ferdinand Emmanuel Edralin Marcos was President of the Philippines from 1965 to 1986. He was a lawyer, member of the Philippine House of Representatives (1949–1959) and a member of the Philippine Senate (1959–1965). He was Senate President from 1963–1965.
While in power he implemented wide-ranging programs of infrastructure development and economic reform. However, his administration was marred by massive corruption, political repression, and human rights violations.
Long time ago my father and then me used a camera made in USSR, with name of “Zenit”. That camera works with 35mm film and uses replaceable lenses. Now, when I’m using a digital camera we completely forgot about that old camera. Once I tried to use lenses from it with my Canon 400D but then I dropped that idea.. This weekend I was thinking about the wide-angle lenses and making search in Google. My investigation shown me (I knew that beforehand) that wide-angle and tele-lenses are too expensive for me now.. and I recalled that I could use old lenses from USSR.. So, I’ve found my fix lens that is “Tair 11-A”, 135mm, F2.8.
Today we went to a photo market where you can buy many old photo stuffs and I bought an adapter to connect my Tair (M-42 connector) to my Canon 600D. That fitted fine! The only thing is that there is no auto-focus and all settings are manual (but I do my settings manually anyway.. except focusing). I played with this and recalled how I used this lens before :) And I can say that the result is not bad. You can check it yourself.
The following photos made with ISO 800. The first image made from hands, and the second made using a tripod. Then I made a simple post-processing in Photoshop.
In this post I’d like to share photos made at my friend’s house. This is not too far from Kharkiv but there is a very poor road there. One should go through fields and forests to get the place. That is a great place among the beautiful nature.
Dan has a small house with some garden. There are very beautiful flowers and trees.
In this post I will share only flowers photos. These photos were made using effect of old slides. I find this very interesting.
And I’m planning to make another post with lake and landscapes.
As numismatist I was excited to make photos of my collection. Studying some info in Internet and trying some practice I got macro photos of a few my coins. This is the one of the most interesting direction in photography for me now.
