Not far from the Dancing House one may see a water tower that is built of the same stone as other old towers of Prague. This tower is Shitkovska water tower (Šítkovská vodárenská věž) built during 1588-1591. This tower serves the fountains of the Nove Mesto (New Town). Its height is 47m and every side is 10m wide. Shitkovska water tower is the most falling tower of Prague. It deviates from the vertical axis by 115cm.
I was posting the image of the Municipal House of Prague some time before. Today I’m sharing another image that depicts the Municipal House (Obecní dům) and Powder Tower (Prašná brána) together. This image was made of 2 images at night and then stitched together in Photoshop.
Not far from the Vltava river and the Dancing house there is park where you may have a view on the New Town Hall. The New Town Hall (Novoměstská radnice) is the administrative center of Prague’s New Town Quarter. The New Town Hall has a few buildings and the oldest of them was constructed during 1377–1398.
The image was made as an HDR image merged of 3 images shot with a tripod with long exposure. The result has been processed in Photoshop.
This image was made on the Charles bridge at night after Christmas. The bridge was not so crowded and you could see something beyond the people :)
The image was made using a tripod and the old lens Helios 44M 58mm F2.0 @F5.6 @4sec @ISO100. The picture received is so clear that I almost didn’t do any correction! The only poor thing is the flares and some contrast decreasing (that was fixed in postprocessing).
